Partner, 2008 - present. Associate, 2003 - 2008. Practises in the area of taxation, corporate & commercial law, real estate and finance transactions, charities, and trusts and estate planning. Practice includes tax planning advice, corporate and business reorganizations, assistance with respect to the planning and documentation of mergers and acquisitions, corporate finance transactions, licensing and franchise agreements, public share and debt offerings, income trusts, disclosures for public companies, handling shareholders disputes and business disputes, planning for non-profit organizations, preparation of succession planning documents including wills, powers of attorney and other related documents, attending to estate administration and handling matters with respect to taxation dispute resolution with Canada Revenue Agency including attending to appeals with the Tax Court of Canada. Particular emphasis on private corporation planning and reorganization and planning for professionals.
